The installed mount is great. Worth it for a sale price. Let me talk about the problem. Because the mounts on the back of the screen have screw guides built in it the screw line up easily. The guide holes in the extended mount are not sized correctly so I had to machine out one of the holes so the mounting screw would start. V3 or not this is a design flaw. Do not trust the 15-ish minute install videos online. My guess is they are shills and all edit the screw alignment issues out.

I love it, the v3 is my favorite upgrade I've done. It feels like a cockpit and no more reaching to the far screen edge is needed. The screen doesn't wobble and has just enough resistance. Instructions weren't great but there's many youtube videos online. I appreciate the new trim pieces this includes so that the swivel mount isn't exposed and the color matches the old trim well.

I did the mount that doesn’t lower the screen, 2025 Model 3. It’s great! Super easy install. Took like 10min. Doesn’t shake or vibrate over bumps. It’s sturdy too.
