Tesla Model 3 / Model Y Rear Lower Aft Link
Side-specific rear suspension replacement link. Choose LH 1288451-00-A or RH 1288456-00-A only after confirming the original part number, VIN and suspension configuration.
Select by LH or RH — Not Driver or Passenger Side
Using Left and Right avoids confusion between left-hand-drive markets such as the US and Canada and right-hand-drive markets such as Australia and New Zealand.
Rear Lower Aft Link Assembly — Left Hand.
Rear Lower Aft Link Assembly — Right Hand.
Confirm That This Is the Link Your Repair Requires
The rear suspension contains several links and arms that can look similar in product listings. Use the suspension diagram together with the removed part and part number.
Compare the Spring Seat and Mounting Points
The stamped rear lower aft link has several obvious physical checkpoints that should agree with the original component before installation begins.
- Large central spring-seat area
- Stamped steel arm profile
- Outer mounting ears
- Bolt-hole position
- Left / right orientation
Similar-Looking Suspension Arms Are Not Automatically Interchangeable
Compare the complete stamped profile, mounting ears, spring-seat position and side orientation rather than selecting a replacement because the overall silhouette looks similar.
- Confirm full part-number suffix
- Compare spring-seat location
- Compare end mounting geometry
- Check bolt-hole orientation
- Confirm LH or RH before checkout
Inspect Every Attachment Point Before Installation
A side-specific suspension arm must match the vehicle at every mounting location. Compare the replacement with the removed arm while both are accessible.
- Mounting ears
- Bolt holes
- Stamped reinforcement areas
- Spring-seat opening
- Overall side orientation
Order by Part Number and Vehicle Data — Not Model Name Alone
These references appear across multiple Tesla production configurations, so vehicle-specific verification is more reliable than publishing one broad universal year range.
Replace a Confirmed Fault — Not a Symptom
Rear suspension noise, alignment change or uneven tire wear can have several causes. Inspection should identify the damaged component before parts are ordered.
Curb, road-debris or collision damage can alter suspension geometry.
Wear can contribute to looseness, noise or unstable suspension behavior.
A damaged arm can be one possible cause, but complete diagnosis is required.
Inspect the stamped body and all mounting points before replacement.
Clarify Quantity Before the Vehicle Is Taken Apart
Suspension repairs should not begin until the exact replacement arm and required installation hardware are available.
Rear Suspension Work Requires the Correct Service Procedure
This is a load-bearing suspension repair component. Correct lifting, spring handling, fastener procedures and post-repair inspection are important to a safe repair.
Questions Before Ordering 1288451 / 1288456
What is this product?
It is a rear lower aft link / rearward lower suspension arm for compatible Tesla Model 3 and Model Y rear suspension repairs.
Which part number is Left and Right?
1288451-00-A is Left-Hand (LH). 1288456-00-A is Right-Hand (RH).
Does one order include both sides?
The current Shopify selector presents Left and Right as separate options. Confirm package quantity before ordering. If sold per side, one order includes only the selected arm.
Does it fit every Model 3 and Model Y?
No universal compatibility should be assumed. Confirm VIN, production configuration, original part number and physical arm geometry before ordering.
Does it fit Model 3 Highland or Model Y Juniper?
Do not order based only on the general vehicle name. Some parts references show these numbers on later vehicles, but exact compatibility should be confirmed for your VIN.
What should I compare with the removed arm?
Compare the full part number, spring-seat shape, stamped arm profile, mounting ears, bolt holes and Left / Right orientation.
Are bolts and nuts included?
Do not assume installation hardware is included unless it is specifically listed in the selected package.
Will replacing this part fix rear suspension noise?
Only when diagnosis confirms this component is damaged or worn. Similar symptoms can originate from other links, bushings, bearings, dampers, springs, wheels or alignment issues.
Is professional installation recommended?
Yes. Rear suspension work can involve spring load, vehicle lifting, suspension fasteners and alignment procedures.
Should alignment be checked after installation?
Yes. An alignment check is recommended after rear suspension repair, with the technician following the service procedure appropriate to the vehicle and repair.
Order Only the Suspension Position the Inspection Confirms
These are different links and control-arm positions. They are not automatic substitutes or required add-ons.
